FedResults, Topside Execs Elected To IAC Leadership
HERNDON, Va., June 30, 2008 – Following their
recent announcement of a partnership to provide
business development solutions for companies seeking
federal contracts, FedResults and Topside Consulting
today announced that members of their executive
teams have been elected to the executive committee
of the Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
Jim Beaupre, chief executive officer of FedResults, will serve as vice chair at large, while John Okay of Topside Consulting will function as vice chair for finance. Beginning their two-year terms on July 1, Beaupre and Okay join two other newly elected individuals on the 11-member committee.
Part of the American Council for Technology (ACT),
IAC helps its member companies establish and
maintain relationships with government agencies
through educational programs and networking events.
The executive committee provides the leadership
necessary to create the environment where
information technology resources can be used to
serve the public.
“This is an important year for ACT/IAC because of
the uncertainties of a presidential election,
federal budget constraints, and the avalanche of new
technologies that have significant implications for
how the business of government will be conducted,”
says Bob Woods, president of Topside Consulting and
a former member of the IAC executive committee.
“With the election of Jim and John, IAC has taken a
big step toward increasing awareness among federal
agencies of new technologies and how they can cost
effectively increase productivity, improving agency
access, and enhancing overall the value of
membership.”
Concurs Bob Dinkel, president and chief operating
officer of FedResults, “the new IAC board has just
the right mix of talent to advocate for the
collaboration that enables government to fulfill its
mission and industry to deliver best practices.
I expect that two years from now when their term
ends that we’ll have many successes to point to
thanks to Jim and John.”
Beaupre has more than 30 years of experience in the
technology community, including his tenure in
government agencies and with hardware manufacturers
and software developers. He launched JB Cubed, the
predecessor to FedResults, to take advantage of the
need for small companies overcome the barriers
associated with obtaining federal contracts.
Prior to his position at Topside Consulting, Dr.
Okay held executive IT positions at the U.S.
Department of Agriculture and the General Services
Administration. His last government position
was deputy commissioner of GSA’s Federal Technology
Service. He also is a four-time winner of
Federal Computer Week’s “Federal 100” and recipient
of two Presidential Rank Awards.
